Mobile App Privacy Addendum

1. Relationship to the main Privacy Policy

This Addendum supplements the Black Pantera Privacy Policy published at blackpantera.com/policies/privacy-policy (the "Main Policy"). It applies exclusively to the Black Pantera mobile application distributed through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store (the "App").

Where this Addendum is silent, the Main Policy governs. Where this Addendum expressly addresses App-specific data practices, this Addendum controls for the App.

Terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Main Policy.

2. Scope of this Addendum

This Addendum applies to your use of the App on iOS or Android devices, including audio playback, journal entries, saved experiences, and any other in-App activity.

It does not apply to purchases made on blackpantera.com, marketing communications, or any interaction outside of the App itself.

3. What data the App collects

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any Personal Data with Black Pantera LLC or with any third party.

The App operates entirely on your device. All data generated by your use of the App is stored locally on your device using standard mobile storage mechanisms (localStorage on Apple WebKit and Android WebView environments) and is never sent to a server, cloud service, or advertising network.

Data stored locally on your device includes only:

  • Playback progress for audio experiences (which experience, current position, whether completed)
  • Saved experiences you have chosen to keep for later
  • Journal entries you have written within the App
  • Onboarding state (whether you have seen the intro screen, whether the Threshold experience has been unlocked)
  • Basic display preferences

This data never leaves your device. Black Pantera LLC has no access to it, cannot read it, and cannot associate it with your identity.

4. What data the App does not collect

The App does not access, request, or transmit:

  • Name, email address, phone number, or physical address
  • Location, GPS coordinates, or geolocation of any kind
  • Camera, microphone, or media library
  • Contacts, calendar, or health data
  • Advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID)
  • Device identifiers used for cross-app or cross-service tracking
  • Browsing activity outside of the App
  • Payment information (there are currently no in-App purchases)
  • Biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint)

5. No third-party SDKs or analytics

The App does not integrate any third-party software development kits (SDKs), analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporters that transmit data off-device, session replay tools, or attribution platforms.

Specifically, the App does not use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta SDK, TikTok SDK, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Bugsnag, AppsFlyer, Adjust, or any comparable service.

Audio files bundled with the App are hosted within the App package itself and are played from local storage. Streaming from external servers may occur only if the user is on the initial download or on an update from the app store; in that case, the app store operator (Apple or Google), acting as an independent controller, handles that transmission under its own privacy terms.

6. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

Under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework (iOS 14 and later), the App does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The App does not present the ATT permission prompt because it does not engage in any activity that constitutes tracking under Apple's definition.

The App does not access your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or any other identifier used for cross-app tracking.

7. Device permissions

The App does not request permission to access:

  • Location Services
  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Photos or Media Library
  • Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders
  • Motion & Fitness
  • Bluetooth
  • Local Network
  • Notifications (at present; if push notifications are added in the future, this Addendum will be updated and a separate opt-in will be presented)

You may verify this at any time in your device's Settings under the App's permission list.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because all App-generated data is stored on your device, you retain full control over its retention and deletion.

To delete all App-generated data:

  • iOS: Uninstall the App from your device (Home Screen → long-press App icon → Remove App → Delete App). All local storage is erased by iOS.
  • Android: Uninstall the App from your device (Settings → Apps → Black Pantera → Uninstall). All local storage is erased by Android.

Reinstalling the App will not restore prior data. There is no cloud backup, iCloud sync, or Google Drive backup of App data unless the operating system itself creates one under your device backup settings; in that case the operating system provider (Apple or Google) is the controller of that backup.

9. Age restriction

The App is intended exclusively for adults 18 years of age or older. Both the App Store listing and the Google Play listing declare the App as rated 17+ (Apple) and Mature 18+ (Google) due to intimate wellness themes and adult content.

By downloading and using the App, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old. The App does not knowingly collect, process, or store Personal Data of minors. The provisions of Section 4 of the Main Policy apply to the App without modification.

10. In-App content

The audio content, texts, images, and design elements within the App are the intellectual property of Black Pantera LLC and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use under the Black Pantera Mobile App Terms Addendum published alongside this document.

The App does not collect any information about which content you listen to for the purpose of profiling, advertising, or resale. Your listening choices remain on your device.

11. Apple App Privacy Labels

For transparency, Black Pantera LLC declares the following in the Apple App Store Privacy Labels for the App:

  • Data Used to Track You: None.
  • Data Linked to You: None.
  • Data Not Linked to You: None.
  • Data Not Collected: All standard categories are declared as not collected.

12. Google Play Data Safety

For transparency, Black Pantera LLC declares the following in the Google Play Data Safety section for the App:

  • Data collected: None.
  • Data shared with third parties: None.
  • Data encrypted in transit: Not applicable (no data transmitted).
  • Users can request data deletion: Not applicable (no data collected by Black Pantera).
  • Reviewed against Play Families Policy: The App is not directed to children and is rated for adults.

13. User rights under GDPR and CPRA

Because the App does not collect Personal Data, the rights described in Sections 24 through 32 of the Main Policy (access, deletion, correction, portability, opt-out, limit sensitive data, non-discrimination) are satisfied automatically for App usage: there is no data held by Black Pantera LLC to access, delete, correct, port, restrict, or opt-out from.

If you nevertheless wish to submit a request in connection with the App, contact web@blackpantera.com. Requests will be processed under the procedures set forth in the Main Policy.

14. International users

The App is distributed globally through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Because no Personal Data leaves your device, no international data transfer occurs in connection with your use of the App.

15. Children's data

Consistent with Section 34 of the Main Policy, the App does not knowingly collect data from minors. The App is rated for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children under 13, 16, or 18. If a parent or guardian discovers that a minor has downloaded and used the App, uninstalling the App will remove all local data.

The App does not participate in Apple's "Kids Category" or Google Play's "Designed for Families" program.

16. Changes to this Addendum

Black Pantera LLC may update this Addendum from time to time to reflect App feature changes, regulatory requirements, or corrections. Updates will be posted at blackpantera.com/pages/mobile-app-privacy-addendum and, where required, communicated through the App Store or Google Play update notes.

Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Addendum.
